This Commission gathers everyone interested in material durability and structures subject to complex loading relying on mechanical – environmental – microstructure coupling. It therefore treats, in particular, issues related to stress corrosion cracking, corrosion fatigue and hydrogen embrittlement.
This Commission organizes regular Meetings centered on a precise topic, as well as “Young researcher days”, which honors postgraduates by offering the opportunity to present their work alongside a community composed or researchers and industrialists involved in the research topics mentioned before. It is very involved, through its members, in the organization of different congresses (annual congress of EFC EUROCORR, conference Materials, etc…) and interacts with the Scientific Interest Group (GIS) “Stress corrosion cracking”.
